The Aldert Root Elementary Foundation serves a critical role in the success of our school and our children. With your help, the Root Educational Foundation is able to fund additional teaching positions above those provided by the Wake County School System budget. The Root Educational Foundation has funded approximately 3 full-time equivalents in 2019-2020 and works with Principal Blaine Clark to determine how to maximize the impact of Foundation dollars to fund teachers above and beyond his budget. Key areas of focus each year are: Specials-Related Teachers like STEM & Art, Reading Intervention and AIG Teachers, Spanish Teacher & Curriculum and Added Teachers for Reduced Classroom Size.
